All of our transportation trailers are equipped with their own tackle box, and more complex projects will be supported by a tackle van driven by an experienced foreman. Each tackle van is fully equipped with a range of manual pull lifts, machine moving skates, claw jacks, bottle jacks, and toe jacks. There is a wide range of slings capable of lifting a variety of weights and object circumferences. The van is also equipped with personal protection equipment including safety harnesses, lanyard restraints and fall arrest equipment that our rigging operatives will wear whilst carrying out works.

Pick and Carry Crane to Offload and Position ENGEL Wintec Injection Moulding Machine

Merritts were appointed by ENGEL to deliver and position their new Wintec dual platen injection moulding machine using our new 58TE capacity MC-580 pick and carry crane.

Remove and Relocate Engineering Machinery at the University of Sheffield

The University of Sheffield were looking to relocate engineering machinery and laboratory equipment from a number of buildings on campus, to the Grade II listed Sir Frederick Mappin Building, as part of the Engineering Heartspace Project. The machinery relocation aspect of the project was carried out over an 8-week period, and involved the complete relocation of numerous laboratories from multi floored buildings on the university campus.

Vertical Turning Centre Installation

Merritts were tasked with carrying out the transport, offloading, movement and installation of a Hankook Vertical Turning Centre for customer Ward CNC, at their customers site in Lancashire. The 3 main sections of the machine consisted of: 32Te base, 22Te column and a15Te cross rail section.
