Merritts is able to carry out high quality mechanical and electrical works on a wide range of industrial machinery. Our team of qualified electricians and mechanical fitters can assist in providing a full turnkey project solution for our customers. This includes machinery disconnection and dismantling through to re-building and mains power connection.

Electrical Services:

As part of Merritts turnkey solutions, we are able to provide comprehensive electrical assistance when providing machinery installation services.

Our wide range of expertise extends to control panel installation, electrical cabinets, switchgear, internal wiring, electrical connection, emergency power and lighting systems. Upon completion of electrical works, thorough testing and safety checks will be carried out.

Mechanical Services:

Our mechanical engineers have years of experience and are fully equipped to carry out the machine installation and modify pipework and ducting if required. We can also complete steel fabrication works to ensure your machinery is up and running within your production facility as soon as possible.

Merritts has highly skilled employees who can undertake a full decommissioning and dismantling service through to rebuilding, reconnection and recommissioning. Great care is taken to ensure your machinery and equipment is re-assembled in precisely the same condition as it was prior to removal for machine repair and maintenance or health and safety inspection.

Our machinery engineering service is usually commissioned by manufacturers when their industrial equipment is no longer covered by the warranties and guarantees offered by the machinery manufacturers. When machinery is still under warranty, we recommend using the machine manufacturers engineers.

Out of Hours Solutions

One of the primary responsibilities of being a factory or operations manager is to ensure production targets are met, if not exceeded.

Merritts regularly operate out of standard working hours and can also accommodate night and shift working as well as weekends for moves that are time and/or production sensitive. We offer free site visits within the UK and are available 365 days of the year.

Installation of SEYI Presses

Heavy machinery moving specialists, Joseph Merritt Group were appointed to transport and install two SEYI Presses on behalf of PressCare UK.

Vertical Turning Centre Installation

Merritts were tasked with carrying out the transport, offloading, movement and installation of a Hankook Vertical Turning Centre for customer Ward CNC, at their customers site in Lancashire. The 3 main sections of the machine consisted of: 32Te base, 22Te column and a15Te cross rail section.
