Merritts has announced a significant £200,000 investment in its operational fleet with the addition of five brand-new tackle vans, further strengthening its ability to support projects efficiently across the UK.
The latest additions include five Volkswagen Crafter 2.0 TDI CR35 MWB diesel vans (RWD, 163PS HDE Commerce High Roof), purpose-selected to meet the demands of Merritts’ specialist operatives. Designed with practicality, reliability, and performance in mind, these vehicles will play a key role in transporting essential equipment and tools safely to sites nationwide.
These new tackle vans have been fully prepared for operational use, including the professional printing and application of vehicle graphics by Judsons Signs, ensuring a consistent and recognisable Merritts presence on the road.
This investment forms part of a wider strategic programme to enhance Merritts’ fleet and operational capabilities. Earlier in this programme, the company committed £400,000 to the acquisition of two Scania S 590 A6x2NB Highline tractor units. These units were purpose-built to support the safe and efficient transport, movement, and installation of heavy industrial machinery across the UK and Europe.
Together, these investments reflect Merritts’ ongoing commitment to providing a high-quality, reliable service while ensuring its teams are equipped with the best tools and vehicles available. By continuously upgrading its fleet, Merritts is reinforcing its ability to meet the evolving needs of its clients and maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency in every project.
