Merritts Offload and Position New Trumpf TruBend Press Brake

Established in 1974, AF Switchgear is one of the UK’s largest switchgear manufacturers, setting the standard for LV Switchgear and Power Distribution. With a proven track record spanning 50 years, the company operates from four manufacturing facilities across two sites in Nottinghamshire.

Merritts was contracted by AF Switchgear to offload and position the new Trumpf TruBend press brake at their manufacturing facility in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. To complete this project, we utilised our Versa-Lift 40/60, capable of lifting up to 40,000 pounds with the base retracted or up to 60,000 pounds with the base extended. Versa-Lift trucks are essential in the machinery moving and installation market, operating on a moving counterweight principle that allows the truck to be up to 50% smaller than trucks using conventional static counterweight technology.
