Forklift Trucks | Merritts Heavy Machinery Movers

A major aspect of the service we provide is our commitment to health and safety. For each project, our H&S Department, headed by an ex HSE inspector, provides customers with a suite of documents to evidence our credentials. These include method statements, risk assessments, lift plans, personnel training records and plant and equipment inspection certificates. This helps to ensure all projects will be carried out safely and in accordance with the required legislation.

The examples below highlight just a few of the heavy machinery moving projects that we completed last month.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE FOR A VALUED CUSTOMER IN THE AEROSPACE INDUSTRY

A high profile customer who provide advanced technological services to the aerospace industry had an urgent requirement to move one of their machines to another location within in their facility. Having contacted us in the morning, we were able to respond within the hour and send the required crew and lifting equipment to their facility. We utilised our Versa-Lift 40/60 to move the 15Te machine to the new location.

SUBSTATION DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION

Throughout this month, Merritts carried out numerous substation installation works for a major electricity distribution company. Projects involve the collection, delivery and installation of the substations. Careful planning is paramount as these works often occur in busy city central locations.

And another satisfied customer……

I am writing to acknowledge what a great job your team have done installing our new lithographic press over the last 7 days.

In addition to working very safely on site, the guys were courteous, very well organised, demonstrated good communication skills and followed our H&S procedures and paperwork to the letter.

In relation to moving the machine using heavy plant and equipment through the building, they showed total respect for the environment they were working in – which effectively was a fully operational factory and yard. I can also report there was absolute minimum disruption to our business during this install which again the guys contributed to.

The guys are a credit to Merritts and also a credit to themselves, and as a project manager it was a pleasure to work with them.
