Working on behalf of a leading international manufacturer of aerospace finished components, Merritts were instructed to relocate CNC machinery as part of a production restructure.
Merritts were tasked with carrying out the transport, offloading, movement and installation of a Hankook Vertical Turning Centre for customer Ward CNC. The 3 main sections of the machine consisted of: 32Te base, 22Te column, and a15Te cross rail section.
Liaising with the machine manufacturer and the UK distributor, Merritts arranged the collection of a Nakamura Super NTX Turning Centre Lathe machine from UK docks and transported it to our storage facility for unpacking and inspection, before onward delivery and installation at the customer’s site.

As well as providing heavy lifting, transportation, installation, storage, and engineering services, we can also offer customers the following services to ensure the smooth completion of projects:
