Pick and Carry Crane to Offload and Position ENGEL Wintec Injection Moulding Machine

Merritts were appointed by ENGEL to deliver and position their new Wintec dual platen injection moulding machine using our new 58TE capacity MC-580 pick and carry crane.

The brand new piece of equipment was to be transported to ENGEL’s Warwick showroom, where they are offering customers a personalised tour of the facility and their machinery.

As part of the project, Merritts were responsible for preparing the customs clearance documentation in order to import the machinery into the UK.

Once the machinery had been cleared at the border, we then arranged for the injection moulding machine to be transported to our storage facility in Nottinghamshire, where it was then offloaded using a JMG MC-580 pick & carry crane.

Merritts stored the injection moulding machine until it was ready to be delivered. Our role was to then offload the machine into the correct position within ENGEL’s showroom in Warwick.

Merritts handled everything from port of entry (which unexpectedly changed at the last minute) to installation onsite. It was a very professional and efficient service, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Remove and Relocate Engineering Machinery at the University of Sheffield

The University of Sheffield were looking to relocate engineering machinery and laboratory equipment from a number of buildings on campus, to the Grade II listed Sir Frederick Mappin Building, as part of the Engineering Heartspace Project. The machinery relocation aspect of the project was carried out over an 8-week period, and involved the complete relocation of numerous laboratories from multi floored buildings on the university campus.
