Delivery of new Nakamura Super NTX turning centre lathe to UK based machinery distributor
Company Profile: Turning Technologies UK Ltd (TTUK) was established in 2004 and is the sole UK distributor for Nakamura-Tome high precision turning centres.
Project Outline: Merritts were appointed to collect, unpack, inspect, deliver and install a Nakamura Super NTX Turning Centre Lathe.
Project Detail
Liaising with the machine manufacturer and the UK distributor, Merritts arranged the collection of a Nakamura Super NTX Turning Centre Lathe machine from UK docks and transported it to our storage facility for unpacking and inspection.
Having checked the machine, we reloaded it to Merritts vehicles for onward delivery to its UK destination.
At site, we offloaded the machine with a lorry mounted crane, manoeuvred it to the entrance of the building and skated into position.
We also lifted and offloaded all ancillary equipment including tool changer unit.
We also assisted engineers with the installation of the tool changer unit, levelling, bolting down of machinery and connection to services.
