Merritts Appoint New Training Manager

Ian joined the Merritts team in December and brings with him more than 10 years’ experience in training and operations to the role, having previously worked in the engineering, manufacturing and construction sectors.

As part of the role, Ian will be responsible for arranging and developing existing courses for customers as well as developing strategies for new courses and training modules. Additionally, Ian will also be responsible for the future development of the training department.

After beginning his career with the armed forces, Ian has gone on to work with companies throughout the UK and his knowledge and experience of industrial training make him the ideal candidate to continue the development of the Merritts training department.

Merritts currently offer a wide range of training courses for clients including RTITB accredited forklift truck training (Reach and Counterbalance), manual handling, lifting and slinging using overhead crane, abrasive wheels, emergency aid, fire safety, lorry loader, safety awareness and ADR training.

We are also part of the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS), which is recognised as one of the UK’s leading accreditation bodies.
